We warmly welcome and congratulate families who wish to pass on their faith to their children through the Sacrament of Baptism. In Baptism, your child becomes part of the family of God and the Church's faith community through the power of Jesus’ death and resurrection. As the "gateway" to all other sacraments, Baptism offers your child access to the full spiritual benefits of the Church.
Baptism at St. Padre Pio Parish 1. Schedule The Baptism. Baptisms are typically celebrated on Saturdays at 12:00 p.m. Arrangements must be made at least a month in advance. Please download the Baptism registration form below to your computer, complete it, and submit it electronically or return it to the Parish Office. Please note: Filling out the form is only the first step. Your Baptism date is not final until you receive confirmation from the parish office. 2. Submit the Baptism Sponsor Forms One of your first steps in preparing for your child’s Baptism is selecting Sponsors (Godparents). Sponsors play a crucial role in your child’s spiritual life, serving as role models and supporting you in teaching your child the Catholic faith. Please download the Sponsor registration form below, complete it, and submit it electronically or return it to the Parish Office. 3. Enroll in our Baptismal Preparation Class. Parents and godparents are required to attend a Baptismal Preparation Class, which explores the significance of Baptism and familiarizes you with the ceremony.
