The Sacrament of ConfirmationOften referred to as the Sacrament of the Holy Spirit, Confirmation builds upon the foundation laid by Baptism and completes an individual’s initiation into the Catholic Church. Through Confirmation, recipients are strengthened by the gifts of the Holy Spirit: Wisdom, Understanding, Knowledge, Counsel, Fortitude, Piety, and Fear of the Lord.
