In the Sacrament of Marriage, a man and a woman enter into a sacred and permanent covenant of faith and love with each other and with God. This holy union not only enriches the married couple but also strengthens the entire Church community. At St. Padre Pio Parish, we are dedicated to helping engaged couples understand, prepare for, and joyfully celebrate this beautiful sacrament.

Marriage Arrangements
To ensure a meaningful and well-prepared celebration, marriage arrangements at St. Padre Pio Parish must be made at least four months in advance. For more information and to begin planning your special day, please contact the Parish Office at (773) 561-3474.

Ceremony Details
  • Music and Liturgy: We encourage you to personalize your ceremony with meaningful music and readings. Our music director, Brett Connor, can offer guidance on selecting appropriate liturgical readings. Please contact him for more details.
  • Decorations: To ensure the sanctity and beauty of our church, we ask that couples provide an additional $500, refundable deposit. This includes restrictions on certain types of flowers, candles, and aisle runners. Photography is allowed, but we ask that all photography during the ceremony be done respectfully, keeping in mind the sacredness of the occasion. Photographers should coordinate with the officiating priest before the ceremony to ensure that they do not disrupt the liturgy.

Fees and Donations
  • Parish Fee: The fee for the use of the church for your wedding ceremony is $600. This fee helps cover the costs of maintaining our parish facilities and ensuring that your wedding day is special. If you choose to have parish musicians, an additional fee of $175 is required.
  • Donations for Services: While not required, it is customary to offer a stipend to the priest who officiates your wedding and to those who provide services such as music. Our parish office can provide guidance on appropriate amounts.
  • Payment Details: All fees and donations should be settled with the parish office no later than one month prior to the wedding day. Please contact the office for a detailed breakdown of costs and payment options.
